Are Request InformationWho We Are Wood Bros., Inc. was founded by master cabinetmaker Jerry Enright in Schaumburg, IL, in 1992. While originally a one-man shop focused on custom office furniture, we were introduced by a small project for a local designer into the world of high-end bank interiors and residential casework. Seeking superior workshop facilities, Wood Bros. relocated to the historic Elgin Casket Company Building in Elgin, IL in December 1995. In March 2005 we moved to a newer part of the building, around the corner. An ongoing commitment to excellence and continuous process improvement has allowed our growth from a one-man shop to our current well-equipped plant and staff of three craftspeople. Our project history began with office furniture for a large financial company, including the expedited production of fifty-four mahogany and laminate work stations for the expansion of their stock trading department. Our first bank project was a 12-foot double-sided storage island for a branch, after which we moved on to a traditional teller line for an historic bank in Ottawa, IL. That project grew to include reproduction cherry moldings for the rest of the interior, as well as desks and other furniture. Subsequent projects have included custom kitchens and entertainment centers for the clients of designers and for residential customers. These projects have proven our ability to compete with mass manufacturers as well as with other custom shops. Other projects have included store and office displays and interiors, custom millwork for a bowling alley renovation, entertainment and storage centers, closet interior conversions, and even a maple kitchen and home office for a New York City apartment and a melamine and painted kitchen for a home in Kansas (expanding the boundaries of our delivery area...)! Using Cabinet Vision design software, we are able to show customers what their projects will look like before they are built, and to maintain continuity from the design stage through the production stage. |
